| Self Description | | Well, here goes. I am Just a man ? forgiven, but far from perfect, most certainly a work in progress. I am optimistic, sincere, a bit of a perfectionist and maybe a bit of a clean freak. My deepest desire is to love God and to be like Jesus, a disciple of God, a servant. My plan is pastoral counseling / counseling psychology, youth ministry and or teaching. I am a combat veteran of the US Army. I am now medically retired and pursuing my education.
I have traveled a lot and still enjoy traveling, but the Rocky Mountains and the regions surrounding are my home.
I am divorced and have children whom, though they live with their mother, are very important to me.
I love animals and especially dogs. My constant companion Ranger (I know this is a boy's name) is a 2 year old female Black Lab. Ranger is a very big part of my life.
My passions are most anything in the wilderness (esp. hot fresh coffee, camping, hiking, fishing, motorcycle rides, photography, rappelling, bouldering, canoeing, swimming, mountain biking, horseback), going for walks with the pup, coffee, watching the sun come up and go down, sitting and talking with friends (especially on the front porch or over a cup of Joe), sleeping under the stars, reading (I love my books), studying the bible and other disciplines (Theology, philosophy, psychology, Religion, politics, etc.), writing my thoughts, listening to and playing music, spending time on the computer with coffee(my Sony Vaio is kind of an extension of me), sports and playing on the playground with the kids, cuddling to watch a good movie or CSI, playing games, staying organized, coffee, house and yard projects, wood and leather craft and oh yah, Coffee?
Some of my favorite things are; love, tenderness, kindness, patience, peace, a bright sunrise or sunset, Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, being clean and groomed, exercising, jogging, swimming, wildflowers, coffee and fresh air first thing in the morning while the sun rises, throwing the ball for my pup, family time, quiet time, game night, date night, cuddling, my 1200cc Honda Shadow Spirit (esp. when my other half's arms are around me as she rides with me), seeing a content smile in the eyes of my lover, holding hands while walking in the evening, sitting in the swing on the front porch together, exploring new places (esp. in the wilderness), supper together, time with family, the Calvary Chapel, helping others, teaching, learning, completing projects, puppies and kittens, 2-steping, traveling, going for a drive and the sound of rain. |
