| Self Description | | I am a recently retired professional (underwriter/insurance auditor) who is making a new beginning by moving to the country. I just purchased a "handyman's special house" in a small village (surrounded by Amish farm country and state parks). I enjoy outside activities (walking, fishing, camping, boating/canoeing, gardening and campfires). I also enjoy reading, watching NASCAR, football, DVD movies and playing games with family. I just started a new hobby this summer of bicyle riding. I am very involved with my church (I have served as education/youth director, elder/deacon, consistory president and property committee). I am going to school part-time in a licensed ministerial program. Once I finish the program I am considering becoming a part-time minister in a small rural church, continuing to work with children, or helping in a Christian divorce recovery program. I also enjoy doing volunteer work (board of directors of a food bank, fire department and Habitat for Humanities). I love animals (especially cats and aquarium fish). I am am also into model trains. I listen to country music but also like oldies rock (60's) and contemporay Chirstian music. I am not a bad cook. I was a member of a UCC church, but just joined an American Baptist Church. I consider myself a generic or back to basics Christian.
I am looking for someone to share my new life with. Together, we can make our dream house in the country. We can also spend quiet times together. |
