| Self Description | | Hi! On my own for 17 years, with both children now grown and my son soon to be married, I'm seeking the special someone God has for me. I guess that's obvious, or I wouldn't be on here, right?! I haven't wanted to date much until now. It took awhile to get over past hurts and I wanted to be 100% there for my children. A "people person" I have a BA in French with an Elementary Education minor having taught first grade for seven years then shifted career tracks the normal 2-3 times since. Most recently I am enjoying being the receptionist for a busy Christian dental practice. I decided to give up the stress of prior career choices and like being able to forget about work at night for the first time in many, many years. I love the outdoors, fishing, boating, gardening, long walks in the woods, sightseeing and reading. I enjoy decorating, entertaining, and laughing with good friends. I want my special someone to DISCOVER what sets me apart from the crowd so I will keep this on the short side! |

| Idea Of Fun | | Being spontaneous. Maybe breakfast out then off for a drive to see whatever stikes my fancy. Last week I ended up in Elmira, NY visiting the Mark Twain exhibit and the study where he wrote Huckleberry Finn. Then over to Hammondsport for lunch and some time by the lake. A day at the Smithsonian! The aquarium at Baltimore. The Philadelphia zoo. A fishing trip. A day at Knoebel's. Cape May in the off season. Pizza and a movie at home. Camping with friends. I like variety and adventure as long as it's not life-threatening!! Like most people, I feel God's presence so much when I'm out in nature. I miss fishing. It's not as much fun alone although the last time I had my license I did go alone to some local trout streams and to Rose Valley Lake by myself. I certainly can live without fishing, but it would be nice to have someone to enjoy this with occasionally. The peace of being in a canoe or a bass boat without distraction is so refreshing for me. I simply like being around water. |

Most importantly, we'd be able to get to know each other and be out in nature.
I think "ideal" is too narrow and restricting. I think that as long as there is a scenario where we could talk freely and privately and get to know one another, that could take many forms. |
