| Self Description | | I was born and raised on the Island of Oahu.I was given the middle name Leilani which translates to mean Heavenly Flower.I have been a Christian all my life and our Heavenly Father is the center of my life.I am passionate about life, people and helping those in need.I am a member of the Moscow Nazarene Church. I love to travel and the last place I went to was S. Africa for 8 weeks to volunteer at C.A.R.E. (Center for Animal Rehab. and Education). I helped care for daily injured and /or orphaned baboons. I can proudly say that half way around the world my baboon daughter Valentine loves me and thinks I am her mother.I cared for her since she was 6mos old and she will be 2 this Valentines Day; here name is Valentine.I am very close to my family which also live here in Moscow.I am basically half Italian half Irish.I love to gourmet cook. I graduated from UI May'07 with a major in Psych and minor in Sociology. I have been working for the past 10 months at Good Samaritan Society as a Social Worker Assistant, and care for 58 residents and their families. My residents are both in the Skilled Nursing or Special Care Unit. I donate my blood regularly for I.N.W.B.B. I am currently finishing up the last of my training to become a volunteer EMT-Basic which will be recognized nationally with certification. I love christian music and have many favorite artists one being Rebecca St. James. I also have an eclectic source of music.I want to one day raise and have my own family.I love the great outdoors and enjoying all of God's wonders in which he has created. I love writing, writing poetry, and singing when I am alone. I enjoy rock collecting walking the beach shoreline, star gazing, bonfires, fullmoon walks, dancing in the falling rain and snow, playing with my cats, going on walks, hiking, camping, fishing boating eating by candle light, entertaining a small group of friends at my place, and spending quality time with friends and my family. I want to visit the Holy Land and to travel to countries where children are at need of care and love (Africa, Tibet, India, etc). I have been told I have the biggest heart ...God made me that way for a reason.People say I love completely. I am romantic, lotal, trustworthy, honest, generous, forgiving, faithful, funny, adventurous, strong, passionate, caring, giving, optimistic, a good listener, good friend, daughter, sister etc; perfectionist, charming, amusing, confident, nurturing, caregiving, helpful, follower of the christian way. I love to watch a lightening storm and hear the heavy rain and thunder that accompanies it. I am an avid nature photographer. I love pilates and yoga. I love to make people smile, laugh and feel good. I love to comfort those in despair and I love to restore their faith when they are lost or out of faith. I love to see and wittness God's many miracles. I myself would have died from a serious illness if it werent for my faith and God's working miracle. I overcome the impossible and chase my dreams until they become a reality. I help do the same for others. I have mentored at risk teens and helped those who had lost a loved one to suicide( my step-mom committed suicide March 13, 2002)...I am trained in suicide education and prevention. I make a point that each day I learn something new. I believe in all people and love all people. I love to snuggle and read a good book while wrapped in a warm blanket or sitting by a fire. I enjoy the arts and theater. I give great massages. I like playing and watching soccer. I like butterflies, draonflies, ladybugs and baboons. I really like all creatures. I have helped built homes for Habitat for the Palouse. I like the sun and watching it rise and set, and like counting falling stars. I like shoping and shopping at the coop. I try to eat healthy. My fav. resturant in Moscow is the Red Door, and the Fire Grill in Pullman. I like operan and classical music.I would like to learn all syles of dance.I am blessed for all that that I have. |
