My wife of two years recently left me, and I was devestated. I see now that God used this to my advantage to make me realize that I couldn't do everything myself and that my pride needed to be put in check. Even if my ex never wants anything to do with me, I know that the experience was worth it because I am now a child of God, and the whole thing has brought me closer to Him than ever before. The cool thing is about the experience is that even though I did not think divorce was the answer, God told me after much prayer and meditation that I should make her happy no matter what the cost! He took my selfishness away and I praise Him for that! I prayed for peace for a long time and He has given to me. I feel like I can move on and grow in Him, and I am looking for someone to experience it with! To tell you about the my inner self, I love reading the Word, I love to keep in shape and practice Kung Fu. I love to help those in need around me (I mentor a broken family in my area, Tim who is 15, and his sister Andrea who is 13. They have been going to church for over a year and both profess Jesus Christ as their savior!) I work for Walgreens on the corporate side helping stores with their computer problems and networking issues. I have been doing this for almost three years. I am also in the Illinois Army National Guard as a Sergeant. I have been in service for seven years. I have not been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan yet, but was deployed to the Katrina relieve in November of 2005. I like to cook for special people and try my best to pick up after myself. Being a military person, I don't like clutter...lol I like pets, I like hanging out with friends. If there is anyone out there that is looking for a great friendship first of all, let me know!
