| Self Description | | I have been a widow for 16 months now. I have been blessed with five children and 15 grandchildren. Very tall family; I am the shortest of my children at 5'10". When our kids were at home we called this place the "land of the giants". My husband was 6'6", son's 6'2", 6'8", daughters 6'3" (not a typo) and 5'11". My youngest daughter passed away at the age of 21 with a very rare genetic disorder that she was born with. She was close to 6'. I love flowers, all kinds of music, am an avid reader, love people, was an RN for over forty years and loved what I did(always worked part time). I pride myself on being patient, open-minded and compassionate. I am stubborn to a fault, very honest; when people ask me for my opinion, I give it but with tact and kindness. I believe that most people want an honest opinion when they ask for your advice, and have been told that is one of the reasons that my friends tend to come to me when they are going through a rough time in their lives. I love a sense of humor, documentaries, animals, especially cats, dogs and horses. I don't own a boat, but love boating and am lucky enough to have had a friend that had a lovely boat that I was able to spend quite a bit of time on. I am hoping to find someone right now that just wants to share ideas, dreams, thoughts, and have someone to spend time with, if it is geographically possible. I love plays, concerts, barbeques, butterflies and hummingbirds. I'm not sure if I am even ready for this kind of thing yet, but am willing to give it a try. |
