| Self Description | | I am a modern day woman and very socially adept, however I am an "old soul" that believes in the values and simplicity of life as demonstrated in the 50's. A core belief system where right and wrong were very delineated, and when your word, character and true ethics mattered.
I am a public relations professional; strong conservative politically; believe that grown children, in general best reflect who you really are, and believe that a woman's greatest attribute is not her "watch me roar" attitude, but the quiet gentle spirit that has a profound strength. For me, it is a gift meant to give real meaning to the things that matter most in this life, and which respects the "Designer" who intended it to balance our quality of relationship.
I enjoy sports, especially golf and football. I like walking, both for health and just time to think, pray and reflect. What I enjoy most in the way of fun is dancing. I love shag, disco and country line dancing. I can move on a dance floor. I truly enjoy a wide variety of music, jazz being one of my favorites. My all time favorite artist are The Temptations. There are too many movies I enjoy to pick just one, but a few at the top are Hoosiers, Rob Roy, Brave Heart and Return To Me. TV shows are CSI's, 24, Numbers, History Channel (real history buff), ole Classic Movies, Hallmark Channel, 24 and American Idol. I have quite a dichotomy of interests. Keeps life interesting and diverse.
I am 5'5, slender and due to good genetics and clear conscience seem to have been kind to me in regard to personal appearance. I'm feminine; classic in my professional dress, and sporty in my more casual wear. I am both very conversational, and yet am respectful as well as learn much from listening. I smile and laugh easy and especially enjoy dry wit.
My favorite foods are the southern style of cooking, seafood, Japanese and a great steak. I prefer food fresh from a garden, and believe that good health stems from good habits rather than medicated due to the lack thereof.
I am straight forward but offer equal right to opposing opinion. I'm unwavering in my core beliefs and do not ascribe to being at all politically correct. What a farce.
My sense of who I am and how others respond to me is to say that I am a caring, kind hearted, giving, peaceful, fair minded, reasonable, responsible and good steward where money is concerned and overall grounded individual. As a woman I appreciate all the aspects that make me so, but believe those heart gifts and responses are to be respected for both myself and the one that too holds that in high regard.
By now I may appear to be a too serious and a philosophical sort, and truly I'm not in the traditional sense of the word. But what I know to be true about myself is that things run deep and honest in my soul, and I am genuine in who I am. It's interesting however that my personality is very outgoing, light in heart and easy to approach.
To offer a little more information than maybe some, is important to me for the reason that for anyone who doesn't already know me, it helps them to gain insight and have some true assessment of who I am. I want to encourage someone who is looking for substance, and dissuade those otherwise interested.
My relationship with God, my family, dear friends, respect from colleagues, and how I live my life is a true summation of what is all important to me. And at the end of the day, I love to drink in the beauty of a spectacular sunset and be filled with a grateful heart for my life. |
