| Self Description | | I'm affectionate, easy going and passionate about every area of my life. I find the more love and energy that I pour into my family and friends it returns to me a hundred fold. I enjoy keeping a home that is filled with beautiful things like tropical plants, fresh flowers, good food, happy people and animals. Focusing on the positive aspects of any situation is important to me.
I enjoy traveling. I take at least one short vacation every month and a couple longer adventures during the year. I have a very intense job that I enjoy. It allows me the finances and the flexibility I need to spend quality time with the ones I love.
I have two daughters who live with me. They are 22 and 10. We are very active and enjoy hiking, biking, swimming and dancing.
My faith is the most important aspect of my life and I attend church services regularly. It gives balances to every part of my life. I am looking first and foremost for a man who is in love with the Lord. Someone who has discovered the deep satisfaction that obedience brings into ones life and the lives of all who come in contact with you. How repentance and humility open the flood gates of joy and allows an uninterrupted flow of love to shower over your life. When I think of obedience characterized in someone's life I envision someone who puts the needs of others before his own, even when it hurts or is inconvenient. A person who will stand up for and take the noble path even when everyone around him is choosing to run in the opposite direction. Who regards truth and honesty as the best business practice even when no one is watching. Someone who uses compassionate communication with others even when the other party may have no idea what the meaning of compassion or communication is. I want to partner with someone who does these things not so that they can feel that they are a notch above others, or tell other people how they should live, but because they love so deeply that they would never want to do anything to hurt someone else. Someone who treats others the way they would want to be treated.
I have been given this type of love and mercy from Jesus, I want my life and my relationship to be a living testimony to this type of love. This type of sacrificial love brings blessings and satisfaction into my life that can't even be imagined by those who have never experienced it. I realize that no one but Christ himself can do these things 100% of the time, but this is the prize that I have my mind set on. If I stumble or fall I want my partner to help dust me off, lock arms with me, and continue to run with me toward the goal, as I would do for him.
The girls and I have a beautiful, peaceful home. We enjoy each others company. We laugh a lot and have fun spending time together. If we do become frustrated with each other, which is rarely, we discuss our feelings with love and kindness. We find that this resolves issues quickly and doesn't create new ones. |
