| Self Description | | My name is Michael, but my friends call me Mick. I am looking for friendship with interesting people. If it leads to more that's great; if not that's fine. I am very interested in many different things and always up to try new things and learn about new ideas.
I like just about anything having to do with the outdoors and/or nature. Like to go camping and fishing, go to flea markets/antique shops/garage sales, and I LOVE carnivals (lol). I also like reading and writing and music is a big part of my life. I write music and lyrics and play guitar, bass, and a couple other instruments to a lesser degree. I listen to and play almost all genres of music, but only certain hip-hop and do not like disco.
Ultimately, I am looking for that one special lady to spend the rest of this earthly journey with. One with whom I can walk hand-in-hand on a sunset lit beach, go out to new places to eat, or just snuggle with in front of a fireplace or watching a movie. Hope to find my partner, best friend, and lover'all wrapped into one person...my wife. The lady that God has chosen for me will always place God ABOVE me. As long as God comes first, the unity of marriage will remain unbroken.
I want to mention some things about me that may keep a lot of people from contacting me, but I actually prefer it that way. 1) I have been in prison before and 2) I was an alcoholic/addict, but have been delivered from addiction for nine years. I live in Sterling, IL...near the Quad Cities.
My likes: camping, fishing, walking hand-in-hand with my lady, spontaneous day trips (road trips), flea markets, enjoying nature, snowmobiles & motorcycles, reading & writing, listening to music, writing & playing music (guitar) and cuddling with my lady in front of a fireplace, on the couch watching a movie, or just strolling hand-in-hand down a quiet street in the evening...the simple pleasures of life and the desire to share it with one special person. Like to give her flowers at unexpected times...just for being who she is...:) Dislikes: Know-it-alls, self-centeredness, selfishness, laziness of spirit, and unwillingness to learn or try new things.
Sometimes the most rewarding relationships never come about because of the parameters one sets for who they think they would like. I am not too interested in such things and here is why: 1) - A person is only as old as he/she feels inside and the way he/she lives life. Also, maturity is not defined by the length of one's life in years, but by one's life experiences. 2) - Beauty comes from within and when you are able to see that, it changes your perception in every imaginable way. 3) - When money means more to someone than the simple pleasures of life, then the BEST pleasures are never going to be experienced. Money is not the most important thing in life'quality relationships with people are. I look forward to hearing from you! |
