| Self Description | | I continue to attempt to walk a path to obtain peace, love and happiness, and on this earth the journey seems to be neverending. Day to day I try to extend my heart to others. Sometimes I achieve peace and sometimes I stumble. My life belongs to God and through his Son no matter how slowly I progress His grace is always present.
I am a 42 year old divorced man living in Southern California. I am quite eclectic and enjoy many things including travel, cooking, art, reading, gardening, health, fitness and spirituality. I am firmly rooted in my christian beliefs. I am open minded quite liberal and over the years I have found the spirit in many ways. I practice meditation and my own form of yoga. Both have heightened my spiritual awareness and connection to God. My God is pure love and light, He calls on me to imitate Him in a continual stream of acts of charity, kindness and forgiveness. I seek this love and light from Jesus through the center of my soul - know the truth, "and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32). I am a layman and for several years served as a youth director at my former church.
I am looking for female friendship hopefully leading to dating, but a lasting friendship is more important. I seek someone who has morals and values. Someone who like me may have found life to be difficult at times; but has managed to percevere through a relationship with Christ. Loving kindness, communication, honesty, trust and happiness/laughter rank high on my list of "good qualities" in a relationship.
