| Self Description | | I am a Christain and belong to The Salvation Army. I have been a member since 1989 but I have been going to their activities since I was 9. I am a special education teacher doing inclusion for grade K-1 in a small county school. I live in the same home that I was raised in and my dad and I stay here. My family is very important to me and I am pretty much a home body. I do love to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. I have 5 cats Lucky, CC, Cadberry, Buddy, and Blacky. I have 4 dogs, Shadow and Betoven, Ima, Mama dog. I am starting my 10th year teaching and I have been at the same school. I eventually want to be in the regular classroom full time. I am also an assistant to the cheerleading coach. I was never a cheerleader and know next to nothing about it but, I do enjoy the girls and fellowship that I have with the coach. I enjoy basketball and I used to be the assistant basketball coach at the where I teach. I never did the coaching but I took the stats and was the team "mom". I also kept our coach out of trouble.
I became a Christian when I was 9 or 10 years old. I cannot say that it was something out of this world because I always knew God was real. My parents started me off in church but they do not attend any more.
In January 2004 my mother passed away and in December of 2004 my dad was diagnoised with colon cancer and he is now going through his 2nd round of chemo. I life centers around my job and my dad. This past summer we lost our favorite cat the "baby" Sparkles. It was just 4 weeks ago. He was the center of our life and everything I guess focused around what he did and where he was. He was basically my child. It has been very hard on my dad and me.
I am basically looking for a friend to email back and forth with and maybe go places with but mainly email right now. The Lord will know if it is to lead to something else. I am not a big fan of talking on the phone. |
