I like quiet dinners at romantic spots and neighborhood restaurants. I love early evening walks around the local lakes and neighborhood restaurants in MSP. I love to dance ? ballroom, salsa, rock-n-roll, and even country. I am always open to any type of dance style as long as I have guidance from a willing instructor! I enjoy attending local concerts and plays, listening to music - everything except rap & hip-hop. I truly enjoy opera (never would have guessed that 20 years ago). I look forward to attending the local art galleries and fairs. I love to golf (though my game is not what it used to be). I enjoy boating/sailing in the summer and skiing in the winter. I stay very physically active, - walking, biking, workouts, yoga, etc. I enjoy travel, but it is not a need. I have already visited many, many states from the northeast coast to the southeast coast to the southwest coast and the mountain regions. The only states I've missed are the beautiful northwestern states. My foreign travels, to date, include Istanbul, Athens, Syria, Lebanon, Mexico, Honduras, and several Canadian provinces. I would love to travel all of north western Europe, if possible. I love reading great novels (Kite Chaser is a great read about two friends, a boy and his servant, growing up in Afghanistan. Lots of cultural insights with a very realistic, yet disappointing ending). The daily newspaper is a MUST - the day is not complete without the comics (of course, I also read other sections!). I guess I enjoy doing just about anything and everything as long as my man is by my side; and our adventure is not too illegal and/or extremely life threatening. Oh!! I almost forgot. I also like Salmon (grilled with red potatoes and asparagus), Sunday morning newspaper with coffee, Sunsets and Sunrises ---AND that is just the 'S's!
Who I Am :
I am a mixture of many characteristics ? without total consistency and with some contradictions: I can be very intense or totally nonchalant. I enjoy being with others, but value time to myself. I look great and am very comfortable wearing evening dresses ((with lots of bling-bling), business suits (should the occasion require), and/or the grubbiest of grubs (my favorite). My friends would describe me as humorous, independent, fun loving, adventurous, thoughtful, loyal, and reliable (but I'm sure there are those that would describe me otherwise!). I feel and look much younger than my age. I am very engaged with life and remaining physically active is very important to me. I am a life-long learner, but am finding that I'm not a life-long retainer! I don't need to be on the go all the time, but inactivity leads to grouchiness!
What I'm Looking for :
Intelligence and curiosity attract me, as does appearance, a great sense of humor, kindness, and self-assuredness. I enjoy men who are thoughtful and compassionate, but also very male (macho??) and independent. Physical attraction & chemistry are definitely important ? part of that is someone who stays active and focuses on a healthy life style. My man must have a passion for laughter, love, and life. I truly believe there is something special about each of us. We simply need to reach out; find that special something; grab onto it; and hang onto it very tightly before it escapes and becomes lost forever. The only thing missing, in my life, is that special someone to love. So, now, I am on the prowl hoping to find him. You must be out there somewhere!!! |
