An Ideal First Date Would Be

We meet at my favorite little diner just outside town — the one with the red-checkered tablecloths and the best sweet tea in the county. Nothing fancy, just good coffee, maybe some pie. We sit in a booth by the window so we can watch the sun go down over the fields.
After we eat, we take a drive in my old restored Ford pickup (the blue one I fixed up last summer). Windows down, country radio playing low — maybe some George Strait or Willie Nelson. We head out to the lake, park under the big oak tree, and just sit on the tailgate with a couple of blankets. No pressure, no big plans. Just two people sharing stories, watching the water, and seeing if the conversation flows easy.
If the vibe feels right… I might even ask you to dance right there on the grass when a slow song comes on. Nothing fancy — just two folks swaying under the stars, my hand on your waist, feeling like maybe this could be the start of something sweet.
That’s it. No fancy restaurants I can’t afford, no loud clubs, no pretending to be someone I ain’t. Just honest time together.
