I’m a hardworking man redeemed by the blood of the lamb. Ive spent my life seeking after the world all the while calling myself a Christian. In the last few months while dabbling in the Bible, I came across a couple or verses and I was broken in spirit. (Matt 7:13-14) When reading this I always assumed that He was talking about people in general. Christians found the narrow gate the world went to the wide. But He’s not referring to the world in this picture at all but so called Christians. The ones of “the way” find the narrow path. Because in (Matt 7:21-23) the worldly Christians say “I know you Lord did I not do many things in your name?” And He will say I never knew you. I then realized I was one of those who would say that if I was to come before Him in the judgment. I was at the end of myself and had tried many things to become a Christian with no avail. But in (Eph 2:8-9) says I can not gain salvation by anything of my own doing, it is by the gift of God. I was then truly broken and realized if I died that day Gods wrath would abide on me. And no good deed I ever did would matter at that point. I didn’t know what to do but I cried out for Him realizing I am worthless and I need Him to save me from His righteous judgment and wrath. Thankfully God granted my cry. Later I realized what 2Cor 7:10 meant. For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death. That part at the end of the verse “worldly sorrow” I’ve done many time before in fact I’ve been”saved 7-8 times. I cried and repented many times before but this time was different. I had cried out with different motives I was just at the end of myself. Now please understand me I’m flawed in many ways but by His grace gradually He is sanctifying me. So when this app asked me to describe myself this is what I am, a fallen man without anything worth while to write down. But by the grace of God I am saved thats all that counts to me. Just a simple servant of Christ.
Side note: I want to say to all you ladies who read this long message. (Matt6:33) But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Make sure you are on stable ground. Don’t build your house on sand. And may 1 Peter 5:10 ring true in all of you. God bless
