I am passionate & idealistic, so one of my greatest pleasures is for my adult children to get me laughing at myself! I love to read, write (poetry, correspondence, vignettes, maybe a book someday?), swim, bike, walk/hike with my collies (who I groom at home). I love the outdoors, nature, animals. The simplest things can produce such awe in me like the airplane take-off. I love music, am a so-so piano player, I have a pretty voice & am taking classical voice lessons. I would love to try acting. I would love to visit Goa, or climb Kili, or just hang with people in Kenya. I have driven alone through the Rockies from Jasper to Tofino. I believe that if one pursues truth & beauty wholeheartedly he/she cannot go wrong. I love intimate conversation, where trust is gently tested & gained; I love to show another person something beautiful about him/herself previously not so fully seen. I have a list of life goals for adventure & creativity... I love doing nothing with just the right person. I love to make a good stir fry, have a glass of wine, & finish with a dessert of home-made granola, fruit, & chocolate, cuddled up with a movie or book. I long to retire by the ocean; I love to listen to the unsurpassed sound of crashing waves.

Nature, the ocean, walking/hiking in the rain all day and then getting warm and dry, coffee out, walking the collies, a great meal with people I love, an exciting movie, followed by good conversation, adventerous and inexpensive traveling without a tour group!, philosophical conversation about God, understanding people etc., singing, writing, playing piano, dressing up and dancing at an unpretentious place, swimming, road trips, anything to do with water, the beauty and mystery of animals...
